An Attitude Of Gratitude

The world is so filled with ungrateful people that it sickens me when I see people complaining on my job and never ever being thankful for something that someone did for them. I have seen situations where they gave so many people chances on my job and the following day they were in a heated battle discussing why management just don’t care.

The story here is to show you why so many of us are missing out on the blessing that can come our way, but because of our ungrateful attitude we are lining very unhappy lives.

There is this one person that made me write this article because of his selfish attitude and total lack of gratefulness. Robert, a once very happy and friendly employee, was one of those workers that was terminated by the company a few years back. He tried starting a company with a couple friends, but failed at that also. So he was left with no choice but to return here looking for a job again. His manger begged for them to give him a chance and he was granted a second chance for the second time around, but he became even more ungrateful and wasn’t even thankful for the blessing that were being sent his way.

Soon after that, he was filled with steam and petitioning the campaign that they get rid of the manager that gave him a chance. He and another colleague were determined to get rid of that manager. It ended up in a bitter court battle between the other colleague and they got rid of the other colleague. Robert was blessed once again and they didn’t get rid of him. Now today he walks around with the most sorrowful attitude that I have ever seen from any worker. He sits in meetings as a broken neck chicken and acts as if he doesn’t care.

Well, I had a talk with him and told him that what he does is really pitiful. It is such a shame that you would let your ego drop so low and walk around with your head down. Self esteem is one word, but with this type of attitude you are building so much stress that one day you will suffer a stroke or massive heart attack. I asked him who he think wins such a battle, the JOB or you. I didn’t wait for an answer i told him no matter what you answer know, the JOB wins and you and your family looses. You will be a goner and in a couple of days, you will be replaced and no one will even miss ya. I told him; If it’s that bad, why don’t you ask for a transfer or start looking for another job?

He was very quiet and didn’t even bother to answer, but you could see a change on his face. A couple minutes later, he slowly started to explain the situation he was facing on the job, and I could sense the relief as he began to speak. Haven’t seen Robert in such a depressed state since then.

Change your attitude and watch your life change before your eyes

One thing I have witnessed in my own life, is that your attitude brings more fortune your way. If we would only learn to pay more attention to our own attitude and start being grateful for the things we have in life. We would all live fulfilled and blessed lives. We would not lack anything in life, because with our new found attitude we would only be focusing on the good things that life has to offer and that way we would only receive the best things we wish for in life.

The life your living today is the life that fits with your attitude. Stop complaining about your old car. Stop bad mouthing the house you live in. Stop screaming at your kids, because they are not the cause of the life your living today. Stop arguing about what you have to eat today. Stop walking around with a sour face. Stop looking at your paycheck and saying it’s not enough. Stop, stop, stop…

In one sentence, stop all the complaining and for once in your life start being a little thankful for the things you have today.

If you could change one thing today, I would say this: “Change Your Attitude.”

There is a better life right around the corner, it’s awaiting you, but you just won’t let it in. Do you know what is killing all the success that awaits you, it’s without a doubt your attitude of gratitude.

How To Create A Winning Attitude

I count my blessings daily and I have changed in so many ways that it amazes me how much I used to complain about everything and my life was so empty. All that time I never realized that it was my attitude that was sucking away all the wealth that awaited me. I never had a clue that I am the one that I can create a much better destiny if I would just building a winning attitude. Just image an attitude of gratitude so strong that not even the devil can break it.

Today, I smile more, I am very easy going with my kids, more understandable with everyone in my life and on my job. I have been picturing the things I love and doing what I love. I have been drawing nothing but great things my way. And this all started the day I became more thankful. I would awake every morning and lay there in my bed saying thanks for everything that I own. Every evening before I go to bed, I would say thanks again for all that happened today, and look forward to what tomorrow have to bring, because I know that I would always have great days from now on

So if your a thin or a small person, be thankful. There are many people in the world who are missing body parts or would wish to have your small frame or just be thin and healthy. So be a little more thankful. Make each day better by being thankful for how well your day went. Even if you had the worse day of your life, look at the good things that happened and be thankful and wish for a much better day tomorrow.
