Skinny People Live Longer And Healthier Lives
Written by Alex Marlin on October 4, 2007 – 2:28 am -When I was younger, I used to hate being thin and I wished that I could gain weight, any amount of pounds would have made me happy. I never really understood how healthy it is to be thin, and the benefits we get from being the skinny kid in the neighborhood.
I was teased on a daily basis, and you know what the toughest part was, is being teased by fat kids. It wasn’t until I really got my don’t care attitude and determination that I would not let anyone put me down that I got many friends. I used to focus on who would tease me daily and all I kept attraction was more teasing. When I stopped focusing on kids teasing me, my whole world changed. I was called thin, skinny even grandfather, because of how I wore my clothes. The name calling never used to get to me anymore, because I never responded to what they called me.
It wasn’t until the fourth grade that the name “skinny” stuck and everyone was using that name in a friendly manner, and that is how I became known as skinny. Even today I am called skinny by some of my friends that knew me when I was younger. One even said that we should stop calling you skinny and call you something else. In my mind I was saying, yes, Alex would be fine. Anyway, she wasn’t all that attractive anyway, she was really fat, and my guess is she was trying to polish up for all the name calling she did when she was younger.
Why being thin is so healthy
A couple of weeks back, I got the unfortunate announcement of the death of one my good friends. He was very young to be honest, but he gained a lot of weight and was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. He had his toes amputated first and lost a lot of weight and just as he began to put back on a couple of pounds, and just about two years later he was told that one of his legs had to be amputated.
He went into to the Hospital to do the amputation, but he gave up and died a couple days after. It is sad, but the complications of being overweight takes a toll on the body and that is why we thin guys are blessed with long life once we take care of our bodies.
I buried my friend and his two daughter were at the funeral, and while I was there it made me think of the situations that his daughter will face in the coming years, because they were very much overweight and would go through the very same sufferings as their dad.
The strange thing about being overweight is that those parents turn around and feed their kids the same way they were fed when growing up. They will have overweight kids, and the cycle continues. They have seen the problems they faced, but why would they feed their kids in the same manner as they fed themselves.
So why are we feeding our kids to death?
This topic really saddens me as I see how many kids in the world are overweight. The problem stems from parents over feeding their kids. They are fully aware of all the health related problems these kids will have to face, but no one is trying to keep their kids slim and trim.
Is being thin a taboo?
It does seem that way, or do all those chubby kids parents have shares in the fast food franchises. I think we are killing our own kids and it can be helped.
I will be fat because my parents genetics plays an important role
Now, don’t get me wrong here, but this is a load of hog-wash. I do believe genetics shows in your bone structure, but this has nothing to do with the amount of fat on your body. The biggest problem that I have seen is that overweight parents use the genetic word as an excuse for getting away with the over feeding of their kids.
I have witnessed for myself that if you eat every two or three hours you will gain weight. I have proven that by gaining 15 pounds of muscles in just a couple of months. So I am not falling for any genetic excuses.
Have you ever witness how fast a baby grows from birth?
No science needed here, it is due to the fact that a baby eats every two to three hours with absolutely no exercise, and during this period if you over feed that baby they will gain serious weight. If you continue to increase the baby intake and continue to feed them every two to three hours once that kid has passed the age of 18 months, you will be creating a over weight kid.
After a baby learns to sleep through the night you should stop feeding every three hours. And cut back on how you feed the baby. You will see that kid transform into a regular looking kid.
Most of my kids were very fat babies, but as soon as they turned two, I would stop feeding my kids every three hours and cut back to three mails a day, with little yogurt and fruit snacks in between.
You should be proud to be a skinny person
If your feeling bad about your size, please don’t be. Many fat people wish to be thin, but they were fed too much when they were young and have no clue how to loose weight.
As for anyone teasing you, just smile and say in a couple years you would pay anything to be my size. It takes a lot of courage and boldness to face your fears. Being thin is not a problem, just be yourself and ignore your size, it is easier to gain weight than to loose it.
I have seen how easy it is to gain weight, but I honestly don’t like the way my clothes fitted my body when I gained too much weight. So if you honestly want a body make over then start eating, but keep an eye on your goal. Please do some kind of exercise or else you will be building fat.

I would just have to comment on the part where parents overfeed their kids. I have seen this situation in my own household.
And they reason for that was to make the child happy. What ever the child asked for, no matter if he just had a meal, he would get it.
And I don\’t find that had any happiness in it for the child, it would just be distroying him from a young age and also spoiling him. He who now eat to feel better, but is that really the solution?
Giving your kids what they want, is that happiness?

genetics is half the problem of obesity
you’re trying to sell me that skinny people are skinny because they eat better? who are you trying to BS? i happen to be skinny, everyone in my family is skinny, we all eat like hogs, piling every kind of fatty food and dessert you can imagine into our stomachs and we never gain weight, i could eat LARD for months and not gain 5lbs
obesity has been proven to have genetic roots beyond a reasonable doubt by science if your common sense and eyesight is lacking
your friend ended up with diabetes and dead because he ate the wrong food for his body type not because he ate too much food, and if you want to be specific its because he ate too many carbs for his endomorphic genetics to handle
and the fact that skinny people are intrinsically healthier is a big bucket of BS too pushed onto people by mainstream media; endomorphic and mesomorphic people are vastly superior in health and reproduction when provided with the right diet
i cant believe people even read your blog after such hogwash
