Fourteen Tips That Will Boost Your Self Confidence
Written by Alex Marlin on January 28, 2008 – 4:36 am -To become a better person and someone that will be respected in our community, you have to boost your self confidence. Without self confidence your just fooling yourself and it is really easy to spot someone who has no self esteem. A person that doesn’t believe in ones self, can hardly ever convince the world that they are a happy and motivated person.
So today, I want to help you increase your self confidence, and to do that I have created a list of my top points that I consider really important, that will help you go beyond your limited abilities and bringing out the best in you.
Here is my list of fourteen tips that will boost your self confidence:
- Believe in yourself - It all starts with your own beliefs, you cannot take this first point lightly. If you wish to be a better person, you first have to learn how to believe in yourself. Study yourself more than you study others, identify your weaknesses and your strengths, improve upon your weaknesses, if needed take a self confidence course.
- Stop seeing yourself as a failure - Many of you want better lives, but every time something goes wrong, you blame the reason for failing upon yourself or someone else. Your not a failure, maybe it was your plan that failed or you just made a mistake that caused the whole system to go wrong. As you can see the system failed, not you. If you are blaming yourself for everything that went wrong in your life, you will have to stop that. The most successful people in the world failed many times. Only that one time that they succeeded is what everyone remembers. So stop counting your failures, your only looking for that one moment that you will succeed. Continue to fail and learn from your mistakes. The only one that has never failed is the one who has never done anything and has never accomplished anything either.
- Stop doubting yourself - If your going to do something, believe that it will work. Stop the self sabotage before you even get started. You can’t jump on a air-plane thinking that it will crash, because then you would die. So, why do that with any plan or project your trying to get done. Believe that all will work out, and you will be surprised when it does.
- Believe in your abilities to accomplish more - Stop saying , no I can’t do this or that. Start saying I have never done it, but I am sure I can get it done. Start believing in your abilities to get things done, start challenging yourself. Stop settling for less, you have the ability to do much more, just push yourself to do things you have never done before.
- Stop listening to others - Friends are great to have, but, no one knows your potential, and once you start believing in yourself and pushing yourself beyond your own comfort zone. You will stop listening to others. You need to have the ability to recognize that you can do it, once you put your mind to it. Stop letting people dictate what you can or can’t do.
- Organize and reorganize your life - An unorganized person is definitely not a successful person. You have to start organizing your life in such a manner that you become a more effective planner. Keep reorganizing your life until your satisfied with your lifestyle. You have to become a more positive person in and out of your work force, and that starts with a simple little step… take that first step and start today, organize your life.
- Become a risk taker - Once your belief grows, you will know that you can accomplish anything you want. And to get there, you will have to start doing what you want. Start taking risk, and stop worrying about the outcome. Nothing will ever be gained until you decide to take the first step. Life is a risk, live it, and the only way to know if you can or can’t is to take bold steps that involves risks.
- Become a more creative and bold person - Yes, you have to start showing your creative skills, turn the impossible into possible. Speak out, learn to let people know what your thinking. Start showing people that you have what it takes to make things happen. No sense sitting in the back ground hoping that it would go wrong, become the person that goes for it even if it’s unknown territory. People will start believing in you and you will become that go-to person.
- Take the first step - When you belief in yourself is so strong, the first step will be so easy, and that is why you have to start now, not tomorrow. Take the first step, and you will overcome any doubt you have in yourself.
- Become a more likable person -Become a magnet to people, make people who you encounter see that your a confident person. Stop trying to please or make people like you, by giving or trying to please. Your self confidence will shine, and people will like you, so don’t try too hard, just build your self confidence.
- Think of solutions - A successful person is very much solution oriented, they don’t focus on problems, they understand that problems comes and goes, but you have to learn to focus on finding the solution. The problems you will encounter in life will all seem so easy, because you have your mind set on finding the solution. Stop thinking of problems, think on solutions. There are no problems, it is just that you haven’t found the solution.
- Become a better negotiator - Start talking with people, learn how to make conversations with anyone you encounter. Become a leader, and learn how to talk the talk and walk the walk. You have to start communicating on a level where you can show people that your on top of the game. Don’t let anyone outsmart you, negotiate with them. Think on what you wish to accomplish and do just that. When in a strange environment, just approach someone and start a conversation. It is easier than you think, stop trying so hard and thinking on what you have to say, just say something, conversational starters are easy. Once you start that process, then start bargaining with the people your buying stuff from no matter what price they offer, try to beat them down, your now building up your negotiation skills, but you have to first learn how to communicate. Always ask for a lower price, see what they will say, ask and be quiet, wait until they answer.
- Start feeling happy and take control -Put yourself in a great mood, don’t let anyone put you down. Smile more and show the world that your alive and living this life. Enjoy each and every day the good Lord gives you. Take control of your life, and do more of the things you like and stop doing the things everyone likes you to do. Life is really short, so live it and enjoy each day with a smile. Don’t ever go to bed angry or in a crying mood.
- Become an exceptional person - You have to be a person that lives with great self confidence, the person who isn’t afraid to ask any questions, ask for anything and do the thing most are scared of doing. You have to be someone who is likable and trustworthy. Someone with great prestige and that would open doors you never knew was possible. You will be able to deal with bitter people or difficult people. You will walk with your head in the sky and be truly happy with your life.
To be that self confident person that many dream of becoming is easy, you now have my list of fourteen tips that can boost your self confidence and give you the life of an exceptional person. I will leave you with one mindset, and that should be the mindset you shall live with from today onwards, and that is…
If there was one thing that you could do if you know for certain you would not fail, what would you do?

What Are You Thinking About?
Written by Alex Marlin on January 25, 2008 – 3:19 am -The mind is our best and only secret weapon, it can make us or break us and that all happens based on what you are thinking about all day long. Keep that thought in mind for a moment, and focus now and think back on the last thing you had on your mind, and then go way back, and try to recall what you was thinking on during the day.
The concept is simple, the thought that is on your mind all day is that one thing you want in your life, and the trick here is to see how we are going to get that one thing to materialize and become a reality.
Many people don’t get this concept, so let’s take a journey together, travel with me back to the past, and I do mean way back. For those who are younger your journey will be much shorter, and for those who are much older, God bless you because your travel will seem like eternity… Just kidding…
We are going back to our teen years, that was when we was at a point in our lives when we wanted the world and was basically getting it.
How was that possible?
We discovered the power of asking, by asking a family member or our parents we got the things we liked and life was just great. As we grow older many of us tend to forget that we still have that ability within us. If you only knew that your power to ask never went away, so why did you stop. To get what you wish for in life, just ask, and don’t ever feel stupid for asking or be scared of asking. Many of us stop asking and close off ourselves from the world because of what others think.
There are no stupid questions, so ask away.
So what’s wrong with you today?
You loose the eagerness and desire to set goals and accomplish the things you want, you are basically acting like a robot, everyone is acting like the other and following or trying to accomplish the things they don’t really want in their life.
Who are the ones that succeed?
The people who have a goal and keeps it focused in their mind, but doesn’t take actions fails miserably. On the other hand the person who knows what they want from a very young age, or the one who is doing what he/she wants in life is considered a successful person. Stop the envy and stop competing with others, there is abundance in this world for all.
We become what we think about…
All you have to do is wait and work towards the dreams and thoughts you think about all day long. Stop blaming life on circumstances and start creating the circumstances for the life you want, create your own reality, believe that you will succeed, and you have no choice but to see success.
If you think about nothing, you become nothing…
So what’s wrong with the statement above?
To elaborate on that, I will give you an example… A simple example stems from the goals you set for yourself, without even knowing that your doing it. Look at the clothes your wearing now, would you believe that you went looking for those clothes, or someone bought them for you. The clothing you now wear, is because you actually created a picture in your mind of you dressing a certain way, and you created that reality. Do you see how easy this is?
This concept works well for big and small items, but certain items take longer and that is the problem many face and give up on their dreams, because they believe it should happen the very next day. It doesn’t work that way.
As you believe so shall it be done onto you…
To end today, I will leave you with the above statement, and it is the type of magnetism we have in our body, we attract the things we think about all day long. If your thinking about hurting your friend, in no time shall you be granted what you wish and someone will hurt you… yes, it is true, evil thought brings on more evil, but this time onto yourself.
Create a new mindset and start to live life with the thoughts of great things and the things you wish to have in your life.
The most destructive behavior you can have is…
To have self pity, feeling sorry for yourself, calling yourself the black sheep of your family, always saying that only bad things happens to you. Anything that you don’t like in your life can be turned around by asking your self different questions: How can I grow? — How can I become a better person? — How can I make more money? How can I… (fill in whatever you wish)
The trick is learning to appreciate what you have in your life, and I do hope your getting what I am saying here, accept yourself for who you are…
Enjoy todays video, it will give you a new look on life… Count your blessings and be thankful for what you have in your life. and think about what I wrote about faith - do not loose faith.

It Is Time For Your New Years Resolutions
Written by Alex Marlin on January 1, 2008 – 3:16 am -As the year ends, many will start planning their resolutions. It is the way those who never accomplishes anything goes about making resolutions for the new year. They fool themselves and make profound statements as to what they will and won’t do next year.
What’s wrong with setting resolutions that way?
The problem with resolutions is that 99% of the world populations has it all wrong, they are actually getting exactly what they don’t want, because you have to set your resolutions with the end in sight.
Let me explain, as you set goals, you have to first picture what you want, and see it as something that has been achieved, a part of your life, something that you already has. There is no magic to this, and I just don’t grasp why many people seems to be doing it all wrong. The gyms will make thousands for he next couple of months as they flock to do all sorts of exercises to try and loose weight. Sad as it is is, in the next three months they will all quit all frustrated and disappointed. Wondering why it didn’t work.
I will give an example, and I know this will relate well with you.
Let’s take one example where you want to loose a couple pounds of weight. What you will do on the last day of the year (New Years Eve), is to say that you have a resolution to loose twenty pounds this year. Trust me, you will gain twenty pounds before the next year. Your much better off buying the fat loss for idiots guide. Don’t let the name scare you, It is a great guide that really helps you loose weight. The reviews for the weight loss for idiots guide shows that it really works. I am so glad I don’t have to worry about loosing weight, I am a skinny guy, and I am loving every moment of being thin, especially around the New Year.
Back to my point, the picture they are creating is totally wrong, for your New Years resolutions to work, you have to first picture what it is you want, and then set come up with a plan and see how you will go about achieving that goal.
The way you have to do it is to first see yourself, fit and 20 pounds lighter, sketch a real picture in your mind, see how much smaller your waste is, see yourself living that new life style, picture how you eat less now. You have stopped drinking sodas, beers, alcohol and using lots of sugar.
It all starts with a simple diet and improving your eating habits.
And now it’s time for me to show you how to actually start off the New year:
I can’t recall exactly where I read this, but I know it works miracles on the body, and will improve your health, and can even assist in the weight loss. If your having trouble getting rid of the belly fat, then you will enjoy what I am about to share with you.
- Drinking two Liters of water per day - The method may seem like a lot, but for one month I would like you to drink at least one and a half to two liters of water each and every day. To accomplish this you get a bottle the size dictated above. You will carry this bottle with you to work or wherever you go. You will be drinking this bottle slowly during the day. The idea is to have this finished before 8 P.M.
- Eating more vegetables than normal - You will eat more vegetables with your meals than normal, like tomatoes, spinach, carrots and any thing with wheat. And I don’t mean processed can goods. You will also add a piece of fruit to your diet, each and every day. You must eat at least one piece of fruit, it can be a apple, a orange, a kiwi, a banana or whatever fruit you desire, just one fruit.
- Cut back on eating fatty foods - Here is where the big kicker comes in. If you were eating huge quantities of meats. Your task now is to cut back on the meat intake. Yes, we need to get rid of the fat, and to do this we will have to reduce the fatty foods intake. Any foods that are heavy in fat is a no-no unless you can trim the fat.
- Stop drinking beers and alcohol - For this month, no juices or sodas, the only thing you will drink that has sugar is a hot cup of tea in the morning.
- Do a little exercises - You can walk, run, jog and to be honest I don’t care what you do, as long as you get off your butt and start doing a little more exercise than your doing now. It takes action, nothing works without action.
What is the purpose of all this:
I call this my New Years Resolution on steroids, this is where you will flush your system and start cleansing your internal organs. I can guarantee you and bet anything that if you stick with this process for one month, your system will be working optimal again and your skin will be cleared up and shining, like a toddler, who knows what all you will loose in the process, but one gain is sure, and that is more energy and healthier skin.
I am no fan of an all healthy living, but each and every year, I do a body cleanse, and then try to follow this routine for one month. I do believe that it would be healthier if I do this year round, but I do enjoy drinking a little soda and a beer now and then.
Now with this info, you have a choice to make, continue to do what your doing, or start the New Year with a resolution that will work for you. It’s your call, and what you do will be your choice, but for this month, you will see me with my water bottle, because I carry it along and drink my water daily. And to top that off, all the money in the world is no good to you without your health: “There is no wealth without great health.”
I wonder if that is my secret to why I am still looking so great?
All smiles, you have a wonderful and prosperous 2008…
