How I Gained 15 Pounds In Just Six Weeks
Written by Alex Marlin on September 24, 2007 – 3:38 am -This is from a skinny kid, who always wanted to gain weight, but was scared and didn’t fully understand the concept behind gaining weight. Being thin or small is very difficult, because we are always looked down upon. Many thin friends of mine, still didn’t grasp the part that they will live a longer and much healthier life than most of the over weight folks in the world.
What I did was eat a lot of food, but for nothing good would I put on a pound. It wasn’t until I made my 21st birthday that I realized what I was doing wrong. I will show you exactly how to take that scrawny frame of yours and add 15 pounds of muscle in 6 weeks or less.
Before I do that let me explain to you what took place when I gained weight, I started to really like putting on the pounds, and I continued to eat like a pig. My waist went from a size 28 to a size 34. I honestly started to hate my new look, I didn’t like the size I was, I now weighed more than 165 pounds. I was weighing 125 pounds for years the jumped to 135 and now I was looking huge, but in my eyes I was looking fat. I then had to loose back 15 pounds. I wanted to be just 150 pounds.
Skinny people have a hard time keeping up with eating, because we have a very high digestive metabolism factor to deal with. But, we tend to starve ourselves most of the day, by refusing to eat when we need to eat. You will have to eat, if you wish to add any pounds.
It all worked out fine, because I really understood how to gain weight and at the same mastered the weight loss system I created for myself. I lost the 15 pounds in just two weeks. So, what I want to make clear here is that you will have to set your own weight goal, and measure yourself only once per week.
First to get you on the right track, you will have to get your mind power flowing, and that is doable, all you have to do is tell yourself that you will stick with this routine I will outline here for six weeks and that will help you gain the amount of pounds you desire. It works, I am living proof, and I have grown to love myself even more and so will you.
I do wish that you join a gym or if you have some dumb-bells and a bench at home, this will work also. We will have to get into bodybuilding for those six weeks, because we don’t want to build all fat and no muscles. This routine is very easy, we will be training for 30 minutes per day and just three times per week. Another friend of mines just wanted to gain the weight, he didn’t care about the muscles, he just wanted to look bigger. So that option is open if you wish to do it that way also.
Six Week Training Schedule:
You should train one day on, one day off. So the choice is your to either train on Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
Day1:
- Bench Press - 3 sets max of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
- Shoulder Press - 3 sets of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
- Barbell Curls - 3 sets of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
Day2:
- Leg Press or Squats - 3 sets max of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights - Squats is best, but I did alternate them)
- Seated Rows - 3 sets max of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
- Calf Raises - 3 sets max of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
Day3:
- Barbell Shoulder Press - 3 sets max of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
- Dips - as much as you can do per set (3 sets)
- Triceps Press - 3 sets max of maximum weight (two warm upset with light weights)
*** Weight Training Tip To Remember ***
It is not about trying to lift one hundred pounds, it is more about the right movements. So ask someone in your gym to show you the proper exercise routines. And stick with this schedule, nothing more and nothing less. The results will be remarkable. I started lifting just the bar for my bench press , so you got an idea how weak I was. But I gained weight fast, because my eating routine was perfect and they all said that I was on the juice, meaning using steroids, but I don’t recommend that route, I never did. I just wanted to gain weight, I was not into becoming a professional body builder.
Tips For Eating This Much:
Your routine will be to eat between four to six meals a day, that means every two to three hours daily you will have to get something to eat.
What I would advise is to go find yourself some wholesaler to buy your chicken or fish fillet. I bought my boneless chicken breast by the case and stocked my freezer. The next week I would eat fish.
You can mix and match that daily menu to sooth you, but I will give you the full six meals, and your job is to eat at least four of those meals. I used to carry my food with me to work in two little containers, and that is how it fitted perfectly with my schedule.
I used to cook enough chicken in a batch for 3 days, either grilled or stewed. So that my days would not be tied up with cooking.
Daily Eating Routine:
Morning between 6:00 A. M. - 7:00 A. M. - Eat one 4 ounce chicken breast with two slices of bread. could also eat 4 boil eggs with two slices of bread.
9:00 A. M. - 10:00 A.M. Eat one 4 ounce chicken breast with a apple
12:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Eat One 6 ounce chicken breast with a boiled potato and some stewed vegetables.
3:00P.M. - 4:00 P.M. One Banana and a little cup of Apple Sauce. ( I bought those cups of Applesauce that was packed in 4 ounce containers.
6:00 P.M. - (One hour before I go train) - Eat 1/4 cup of raisins and another applesauce.
7:00 P.M. - (Just after Training) - Eat a apple or banana, 1/4 cup of raisins and 1 applesauce.
8:00 P.M. Eat one 6 ounce Chicken breast with a cup of rice and vegetables. This is the last meal I eat for the night.
******* Please make sure that your drinking a lot of water, after each meal drink at least one eight ounce glass of water ******
This routine works, and I know it isn’t easy, because your body will first have to get accustom to eating so much food, start with just four meal and slowly increase until your eating six meals a day. In no time, you will see yourself gaining weight.
One you have reached, your desired weight cut back to just four times per week, that will help you keep the weight you at.
If for whatever reason, you have a hard time meeting the scheduled eating routine, you can get some meal replacement packs from GNC, and use those shakes to replace two of the meals. I did that, when my schedule was very tight.

Do You Have Leadership Potential?
Written by Alex Marlin on September 23, 2007 – 2:12 am -Do you believe that all leaders are born with this potential, and that leadership potential can be developed?
This has always been a topic that will always create a stir among the so called managers that are managing many of our top companies in the world today. There are many ways to manage and many styles of being a manager. But, what really counts, is when you see a qualified manager that has a a team of sub-ordinates that really produces results.
So managing isn’t really about being the best, it is about being the best at delegating responsibilities to others and getting them to do as much as possible in a timely fashion. Once a manager can get his team motivated enough to produce constant results, then we can speak of a great manager.
Spotting Leadership Potential In Kids
Now, I strongly believe that you can spot leadership potential in any child, and this not to be confused with the “bully” style that many kids have these days. You honestly have to look at how well these youngsters take charge and dictates to their friends, and how many of their friends believes in them and follows and does exactly what they say. It is a atmosphere were the kids are always listening to those particular kids. Seldom do you ever see a child with leadership potential being led, but you will also notice how well these little ones listens.
Will you say that kids can be nurtured and taught how to be better leaders when they are still very young?
A very tricky question and I will say yes, with the help of youth clubs, but I have seen that certain skills can be developed, but for the majority of kids joining the youth groups most just do it to meet with other youth members, but once you see potential amidst certain kids it will be those kids that will shine. My advice is to always have your kids take part in one if not more youth groups. It improves their listening skills and builds more personal traits that will help them be more responsible.
A strange thing among most of the thin and small kids, sometimes even fat kids is that the secluded kids are the ones with the most potential. They are the ones who will focus most of their energy on doing what is best, because of the lack of attention that they are receiving from other members. So the payoff is actually that less attractive kids show much higher leadership potential. Now, I do have to be very careful when stating attractive kids, because I am referring to thin, small and fat kids, and not their looks, just their body structure.
Confusion Between Leadership Potential And Plain Old Bossy Attitude
There is a big difference between a leader and someone with a bossy attitude. A bossy person is someone who thinks that they have leadership potential. They are always dictating how it should be done. They always try to make everyone do things their way, and once it is done differently they get very angry and starts complaining about any and everything they can think of. Their relationships suffers from the same symptoms, they always try to boss around their soul mate.
Leadership Potential:
Traits that show potential leaders:
- The ability to take charge, show that you are willing to make decisions and not sit back and let others make decisions for you
- Stands up for their own mistakes, shows how responsible they are by admitting when they are wrong
- Doesn’t make complaining their hobby, because problem solving is a better solution
- Is tough, but not mean, is determined to make any decision work, is not afraid of being criticized by his peers
- Shows respect and gets respect. A great leader doesn’t care if you like them, but puts respect above everything else
- Power of speech, any leader has to be able to make people listen to them, if you can’t speak then you surely need to improve your speaking skills to be consider for leadership
- The best leaders focus more on doing the right things, confronted with the worse situations and even then will come up with a solution
- Isn’t worried about doing things his way, places more value on getting things done
- Looks for potential in everyone, and tries to bring out the best in them. Doesn’t pay attention to all your flaws and hammers you with detail.
The one minute manager and leadership and the one minute manager are the best books I have read that deals with top management and leadership that can give you a boost and help you to become a better leader and manager. If you wish to be a better leader, spend some time around leaders and pay keen attention to how they deal with people and how much respect they get from others.

Skinny Kid With Big Dreams
Written by Alex Marlin on September 21, 2007 – 2:17 am -When I was little, I was given the nickname; “Skinny”. I was really thin and many kids tried to tease me. Do notice I said tried, because I was very defensive, and I would start to tease or find something that was wrong or create a fault on them to tease them about.
I never hated the nickname and it kind of stuck amidst many of my school friends. Many of them never found a way to loose that nick. But, as I grew older I got many more nick names, like: Sap, Shirl, Shawn and Sappotang. The nicks never bothered me, because every one in our village had nicknames. Some of them was horrible. Some kids that we grew up with was only known by their nick, you never really knew their real name.
From a very young age I always dreamed of being rich, I also gave myself the nickname, “Mr. Millionaire”, because that was what I actually wanted to be. I would always come up with great ideas, and tell people about my ideas, they would implement them and I would never receive a cent.
Staying Focus Was My Biggest Problem
Somehow, I soon realized that many of my dreams faded as I got older, because every time I went into a partnership with someone it always ended up that they had the money to put up and I got the short end of the stick.
There was a time when I really got my eye set on making big money with Real Estate investing. I jumped into a deal with my brother, and at that moment I also owned my own Grocery Store. I was only 26 years, and things was looking up for such a young kid.
I always said that my hands wasn’t to be used for hard labor, my brain would create the wealth. And, that is why I never like hard work, I was very lazy from young, only liked thinking and working with my brain and a computer.
Me and my brother Herbert got into Real Estate investing and really racked up some great properties. But, I have to be honest, he was the one putting up the money I was the one writing the letters and doing all the negotiations with the banks or the brokers.
I was actually seeing my dream come true, my dream was to own rental properties all over the Caribbean on many of the Touristic Attractions. We started on St. Maarten and soon had more than a Million Dollars worth of assets. Things was looking great.
Working Harder And Not Smarter
I was working from 6:30 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. each and every day. Didn’t have any off days, and my body was really showing signs of how tired I was. One day while going down Colebay hill during busy traffic, I stooped in a Traffic Jam and fell asleep behind the wheel, I bumped the car in front of me, nothing major, no damage, but I knew then that I couldn’t continue on like this.
So, I told my brothers that this business wasn’t for me, it is draining me, I fall asleep everywhere I go and today I fell asleep while in traffic.
They asked what I was going to do, I said well get a job for a couple years, and then open up another business that will be much easier to manage.
After giving up that business, I found a job, the one I have now with the Local Telephone Company. I really had a hard time listening to people who knew nothing about business that were running this company. They were running the company on impulse and not using any kind of planning.
Well, a couple of weeks later, my brother approached me with a paper to sign over the Real Estate business in his name and that really took the wind out of my sail. I suddenly saw all my dreams come crashing down in front my eyes. I signed that paper without a fuss, and then I simply gave up on all my dreams.
I have never ever spoken about this before, because I honestly believed that we had a partnership going that would grow so big, that I would be a Millionaire before my thirtieth birthday. I gave up that dream and said I would no longer share my ideas with anyone or do any partnership programs with anyone if I didn’t have half the money to put into the deal.
from that moment my life became a try this and a try that, not focusing on anything. All I was doing is stumbling and loosing money. No focus, no plan, I was becoming like the people I worked with. Just focused on self interest and greed. Nothing worked, I was failing miserably.
How Do You Get Back That Burning Desire?
As time went by, I was just dropping behind and I actually stopped reading motivational books and thinking about becoming a millionaire. I now got my mind focused on one goal. The flame is burning again and my mind is focused on that Millionaire dream once again. I am now using a different vehicle and one that I control, no partners, just me and the Internet. I am looking to use the Internet to fulfill that lost dream.
I never hated my brother for what happened, but I always realized that brain power alone can’t make a million dollars, it takes action. Do a little everyday, and only do what will keep you moving towards your goal.
But you have to set your goal very low at first and then grow this goal.
My first goal was to make a $100 (One hundred dollars) monthly online, I have conquered that goal, I then set the next goal for $500 (Five hundred dollars), I have also bypassed that goal, netting over $1000 (One thousand dollars).
Now I am setting my next goal:
In it’s own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I am now earning $3000 (Three Thousand Dollars) Monthly from my online business, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way.
